History and archeology come alive in Xian. The capital of Shaanxi Province in China’s ancestral heartland, two hours flight to the southeast of Beijing, is the acknowledges start to the ancient Silk Road and has been the capital to more than 11 different dynasties for over centuries, including Han and Tang who built Imperial Palaces in the city.

Xian, one of UNESCO World Heritage sites, is became world famous in 1974 when the first of the Terracotta Warriors were found.

Arrive in Beijing & transfer to hotel. Tour Tiananmen Square if time permits

Day

Trip to the Great Wall which extends for over 2000 miles and tour the mysterious Ming Tomb. Overnight at hotel.

Day

 Fly to Xian, the ancient capital city of China. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, city tour with visits to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall.

Day

Tour the tomb of the Emperor Qin Shi, guarded by thousands of terra-cotta warriors and horses. Later, visit Bampo Neolithic Museum. In the evening, enjoy Tang Dynasty dinner and performance of dances.

Day

Fly back to Beijing & transfer to hotel.  Leisure afternoon. Peking Duck specialty dinner.

Day

Tour Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace. Souvenir shopping.

Day

Transfer to the airport for departure.
