The Naadam Festival is Mongolia’s most popular cultural and sporting event of the year. It originated many centuries ago as a test of the courage, strength and daring as archery skills and horsemanship necessary for nomads and warriors. Naadam provides an exciting opportunity to see one of Mongolia’s grandest and most spectacular traditions.

Arrival
Ulaanbaatar Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. Tour the Museum of Natural History. Evening tour of Ulaanbaatar city.

Hustain Nuruu National Reserve Place
Drive to the Hustain Nuruu National Reserve Place to have a view of Przewalski wild horses, recently re-introduced back into Mongolia. Tour the visitor’s center to learn about conservation project and current developments.

Karakorum
Transport to Karakorum, the capital Mongolian Empire of 13th century. Visit Erdene Zuu, one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia.

Bayangobi
Drive to the Bayangobi, the unique combination of steppe, forested mountains and desert-type landscape.

Ulaanbaatar
Ulaanbaatar Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar in the late afternoon.

Manzushir Monastery
Excursion to Manzshir Monastery, located in the southern entrance of Bogdo Khaan National Park. The surrounding beautiful valley with streams and pine, birch trees, dotted with granite boulders is perfect place for walking and hiking.

Gobi/Yol Valley Fly to Gobi Desert
Visit the Yol Valley National Park for morning trek and opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape, “Gobi Glacier” and intriguing wildlife.

Cliffs/Moltsog
Flaming Cliffs/Moltsog Els A day trip to Bayan Zag, the Flaming Cliffs for exploring the Gobi “Cemetery of Dinosaurs” and the trail of Roy Chapman Andrews. Visit to a camel breeder camp for photo opportunity, camel riding session and explore the nomad’s lifestyle.

Naadam
Gobi Desert Full day attending Naadam Festival. Enjoy Opening Ceremony, competitions of the three namely sports: wrestling, horse riding and archery.

Ulaanbaatar
Ulaanbaatar Flight to Ulaanbaatar. Visit Bogdo Khaan Winter Palace Museum. Leisure time for individual sightseeing and shopping.

Gorkhi Terelj National Park
Drive to Terelj, the one of the most popular destination in the third biggest protected area in Mongolia, the Khan Khentii Protected Area. Terelj is famous for its unique granite rock formations and pristine alpine scenery. Explore the local area on foot or horseback. Return to Ulaanbaatar for evening folklore performance and farewell dinner.
