Ancient China

The name alone stirs the imagination and assaults the senses.  At some time in life, a visit to China is an absolute must for every avid traveler. The biggest challenge is where to begin. With such a diversity of cultures, an immense territory, and a variety of attractions, China offers limitless opportunities for exploration. So where do you start?  The answer is with a sensible plan, because you’ll never be able to see it all in one trip. China is an experience to be savored, a destination to be unwrapped slowly, like turning leaves of precious rice paper. As tour groups and more and more independent travelers are discovering, this destination can never be just another quick notch on your travel belt. At the dawn of the 21st century, the oldest civilization in the world is going through yet another change, welcoming in the new, yet in many ways still entrenched in a majestic and curious past. It’s a change that makes this destination doubly fascinating, open to the west with warm welcome that will surprise and delight you, yet still clinging to the values of the mystic east. Here you will find all the trappings of modern society and the comforts of home, but with an unexpectedly raw and fascinating edge.  Along with the awesome architecture, curious customs and sensational scenery, all this is part and parcel of the experience that is China.
